What a day! What a lovely day! Kevin's been invited to provide art for Matsuricon! And what wondrous art he has provided. Every single badge offered by the convention this weekend will carry Kevin Bolk artwork: guests, press, attendees, VIP, staff, you name it. Cooler still? The designs are interconnecting! Haha, good times, friends, see if you can collect them all. If you're curious to know what they all look like, be sure to stop by Kevin's artist alley table or visit one of his panels. He'll have the full design available for all you puzzle enthusiasts. :D
Look for Interrobang Studios sharing a space with Ami Ami Creations in the Dealer's room in space W2. It's towards the exit, on the same row as the bathrooms. Here's the Dealer's room Map, look for spot W2 near the top. We'll also post a map graphic with arrows and stuff on our Facebook Page. We'll have set up the big blue booth, so you can't miss us! :D

Oh, everything's coming up roses here at Interrobang Studios! SPX opened its loving arms for us again. We're gonna put on our fancy clothes and slick back our hair. This show is the best of independent press and we'll be there with bells on! Bells and spurs and glitter and ... well, we'll have to take some practicalities into consideration, but we'll be there shining. Shining because you'll be there too and we can talk about BOOKS. :D
Our home town show! This year, the convention will take a record-setting three days. That's 33% MORE INTERROBANG STUDIOS! That should give us plenty of time to show you all our new prints, cards, and books! Come get a commission, check out our newest books, and tell Kevin he needs a haircut--IN PERSON! :D
Fan Expo in Toronto was such a magical experience for us last year, that we're storming the border one more time! Look out great North, 'cause Sarah and Kevin are inconveniencing your border patrol officials again. If we missed you last year, we get to try again! We'd love to meet you, shake your hand, and talk comics in the Metro Toronto Convention Centre. Remember --Kevin only takes commissions at shows now--so come by first thing on Friday to reserve your spot on his commission list!
KEVIN IS A GUEST AT MATSURICON IN COLUMBUS OHIO!
The staff at Matsuricon extended Kevin a warm welcome for their Columbus, Ohio convention in late August! Good news, guys! WE'RE IN! You will see Interrobang Studios and Kevin Bolk at Animazement this year. They've moved the artist alley into the old dealer's room, so there's loads more space. Heck! We'll have two tables full of goodies so we'll be twice as easy to spot! Look for us at w21 and w22 on the artist alley map. See you soon!
It's finally happened! Interrobang Studios is going to Anime Central! We'll be missing out on Wizard World Chicago 2014, so this is our big chance to see our friends and fans in the Chicago-area this year. And boy have we missed you guys. Kevin'll be bringing two fresh printings of our out of stock books: Ensign Two and Mascot #3, as well as our newest set of Science Heroes art: Neil deGrasse Tyson, Stephen Hawking, and Carl Sagan! Love and science, Acen! What could be finer?

Exciting birthday activities will occur. Come by the table for a party favor and to boogie. Yes, come birthday boogie with us. :D
In its first year, AwesomeCon brought more than 7,000 fans together for two days of AWESOME COMICS-BASED EXCITEMENT. This will be their second year, and we're already vibrating with anticipation! AwesomeCon held an awesome kickstarter (Interrobang Studios pledged!) and with the budget they've got now, the sky's the limit. DC hasn't historically had a comic show of its own, but boy-howdy it's got huge one now. :D
KEVIN AND SARAH ARE GUESTS AT JAYCON 5 AT ELIZABETHTOWN COLLEGE!
The staff at JayCon extended Kevin a warm welcome for the last weekend in March. Kevin and Sarah will be at Setsucon this winter up in chilly Pennsylvania! No worries, though, they'll cosplay as the Ice Climbers* and be just fine. You can find the pair of them over in the dealer's hall, piled high with all kinds of fancy stuff from the Interrobang Store.
* - Ice Climber cosplay not guaranteed.
This will be Interrobang Studios' first Ichibancon and our first visit to the Charlotte, NC area! We're super-excited because we've heard everyone in the neighborhood is just so sweet. We're looking forward to all the cosplay, the screenings, the karaoke, the panels, and the AMV contest! Ichibancon's going to be a whirl!
The Music And Gaming FESTival is on its 12th year and is so much fun, we just can't stand it. There's non-stop concerts by some of the most incredible video game and electronica bands on the east coast. There's a sprawling arcade full of donated cabinets and they're all set for FREE GAMES! Then there's the MAMMOTH gaming room with every system known to man--like seriously, you will find import-only stuff that you didn't know existed. There's an artist alley (that's us!), a ton of cool vendors, table top RPG, LARPing, Pokemon, MTG... if it's a game, it's gettin' PLAYED that weekend, boiiii!
FREE CHARITY EVENT! The non-profit organization, From the Heart Productions, will be partnering with Toys for Tots to run the Winter Festival. This 8th annual Star Wars-themed family fun fair is FREE EVENT to attend and runs from 10am to 4pm. This will be VA Comicon's 27th year and our first year attending. Kevin and I are looking forward to spending the weekend in Richmond. For all we live in Baltimore, we rarely get the chance to hang out in Virginia. Come on by the table this weekend and we'll swap Thanksgiving recipes and admire each other's pre-Turkey waistlines before they disappear in a sea of mashed potatoes.
Interrobang Studios' first trip to the Motor City! Youmacon has accepted us into their artist alley and Kevin's rarin' to go. Look for him this Halloween weekend. I guarantee he'll be in costume this weekend, but I'm not telling which one!
NEW YORK, NEW YORK! We did it, guys! We got a space in the NYCC artist alley. (Shhh... How is not important...). But we have 5 days to get the word out! We'll be there with the last of the All Star posters, the last of the first printing of 'It Sucks To Be Weegie #2,' and the DEBUT of Kevin's Comics Gals Roller Derby art! Swing by table W7 in the Artist Alley hall so we can hang out!
Autumn is beautiful in Baltimore. Come take a walk through the turning leaves and flip a few pages with us at the Baltimore Book Festival this weekend. We're on the corner of Charles St. and West Mt. Vernon. This street festival is free for everyone, so bring a group!
Interrobang Studios is confirmed! Since AnimeUSA and SPX fall on the same weekend, Kevin will take a volunteer and half our merch and head to Washington for the anime con, while Sarah saddles up with our second volunteer and heads... um, ALMOST to Washington DC for SPX! Double-Duty, super-hard workers, dream-makers, success-takers, queue up the soundtrack. This weekend's got a real 80's style, blue-collar, comic-life-on-the-comic-assembly-line. Sarah and Kevin will wear matching stirrup pants do some welding before they Comics-FlashDance. Right there at each of our respective cons. We make it through this weekend, we'll build you guys a comics-action montage out of the pictures.
This is a real power-weekend. We're super stoked, but AUSA and SPX are sharing their event weekends this year. It's like a dippy made-for-TV movie--Two conventions, one weekend! What's a pair of artists to do? DIVIDE AND CONQUER! Kevin's going to AUSA and he's going to rock your socks - while Sarah holds down the fort at SPX.
Our home town show! This year, Kevin and Sarah will be taking a daring TWO TABLES in the artist alley! That should give us plenty of room for the prints, the cards, and the Kevin! Come get a commission, check out our newest books, and tell Kevin he needs a haircut--IN PERSON! :D
Fan Expo in Toronto was such a magical experience for us last year, that we're storming the border one more time! We'd love to meet you, shake your hand, and talk comics in the Metro Toronto Convention Centre. Remember --Kevin only takes commissions at shows now--so come by first thing on Friday to reserve your spot on his commission list!
Not only did we get into the Dealers' room this year, we're in the EXACT SAME SPOT as last year! If you didn't get to visit us last year, look for us along the right-hand wall at the base of a biiiig column. We'll have a whole booth full of Interrobang books, prints, art cards, and a KEVIN!
If you're thinking of getting an original art commission this year, that's great! You'll want to show up as early as possible on Friday with any art references you think Kevin will need to get a spot on his commission list. The list fills up QUICK at this show, don't take any chances!
Kevin returns to Anime MidAtlantic this summer, riding on a tidal wave of new art and comics. Which, even though tidal waves are generally bad things, I assure you that this tidal wave is a party wave. Bright colors. Awesome subject matter. Very shiny. No one will drown. Promise.
Everything's finally lined up, and we're going to Wizard World Philly again this year, with many wonderful things! We're going to be at our table in the Artist Alley all weekend, so come by and meet the artist and company and buy our thrilling and poignant books, prints, and art cards. Kevin will be taking commissions until midday Saturday, but get there early - they'll fill up fast.
We've been approved! We've booked our hotel room! We've (almost) packed our bags! Ha ha, we're headed down to North Carolina for the Memorial Day weekend at Animazement. Sarah's applied to teach some 'Art As Business' panels. Kevin's working on a new comic collection to debut at this show. Hush Hush for now, but you're gonna love it! :D
Kevin and Sarah will be hanging out at Captain Blue Hen Comics in Newark, Delaware on Saturday, May 4th. Joe and his Blue Hen crew will be giving out free comic books in their store, and they've invited a bunch of local artists to come out and set up shop under their tents! TMODE always falls in the week between Kevin's and Sarah's Birthdays. So last year, we threw an amazing 2 hour birthday party with all the trimmings: balloons, streamers, party games, prizes, and CAKE. Loads of cake. We had such an amazing time, we decided to expand it this year: More birthday girls and boys (if you're an April Birthday, it's your party!), more games, more prizes, and yes' MORE CAKE. Haha!
We love T-MODE. It's the close and snuggly mini-con where everybody has plenty of time for you and time for relaxing. You should join us because we'd love to have you at our party, and to chill out afterwards.
Kevin has been invited as a Guest!
Anime St. Louis marks a new milestone for Interrobang Studios. This will be the furthest WEST we've ever gone for a convention appearance! Over 850 miles from our home town in Maryland--but for a darn good reason.
~~~* ENSIGN TWO: THE WRATH OF SUE PREMIERES AT THIS CON! *~~~
The entire ENSIGN TWO story will be printed, on hand, and ready to purchase here, even before the online pre-orders ship! OO-la-la! We won't make it to the Chicago this year, so if you're based out of the Midwest, this is the show for you!
Kevin is returning as a Guest at Elizabethtown College!
The staff at JayCon extended Kevin a warm welcome for the last weekend in March. Kevin and Sarah will not only have a spot in the artist alley where you can see all of our fun books and artloads of new ones this year!-- but he'll also be running a number of panels as part of Jaycon's programming!
Hello Lancaster! Kevin's headed to Zenkaikon, for their first year at a snazzy new location. He'll give panels, bring loads of new art, and be available for commissions and good conversation in the artist alley. Exciting to try a new location, especially one so much closer to Baltimore and with so much more floor space'there's more room to boogie. Come boogie with us. :D
Kevin and Sarah return to Katsucon as Guests!
They'll be teaching panels, offering commissions in the Artist Alley, and premiering the second collection of SPINKS! This show is a ton of fun, located in the Gaylord Hotel in National Harbor, MD.
MAGFest has invited Kevin and Sarah as Guests for the 2013 convention!
Like all good guests, the Interrobang Team will show up bearing goodies and gifts: Kevin's new art anthology, 'K-BOOK #1: The Red One.' This 50+ page compilation of Kevin's works from 2005-2010 will be available for the first time'before even the online pre-orders ship'in the MAGFest Merchant's Hall. Not only will Kevin be taking commissions at MAGFest before 3pm on Saturday, he and Sarah will also be giving panels and workshops throughout the weekend. Look for them on the convention schedule!
Kevin and Sarah will be hanging out at Captain Blue Hen Comics in Newark, Delaware on Saturday, Dec 1st. The good folks there are throwing a Holiday party and collecting new, unopened toys for the kids at Nemours/AI DuPont Hospital for Children. You can watch 'A Christmas Story' on the big screen at the theater across the street for free in exchange for a canned good donation. Come back to Capt Blue Hen afterwards, have your picture taken with Santa Vader, and spend some time talking with Sarah and Kevin!
Kevin will be taking commissions in person at this event, and we'll have the last 4 print copies of Ensign Sue Must Die available until the next print run delivers in January of 2013. So bring a new, unopened toy for a hospital-bound tot, and we'll sing off-color carols in public. :D GOOD TIMES! :D
Once again, Kevin's been asked to do art for AnimeUSA's convention in November! It's a terrific honor and a ton of fun. Come on out and check out our newest projects--including a smashing VAUDEVILLE CARNIVALE theme for AnimeUSA 2012!
Another surprise and a delight! Kevin made it through the waiting list for NEKOCON 15 this November. There's an awesome load of guests, some in the US for the first time, some excellent programming, and one stunner of a Cosplay contest. There's also zippy SCI-FI space theme this year, but I assure you that at Con, EVERYONE can hear you SQUEE!
KEVIN GOT INTO THE JURIED ARTIST ALLEY! Find him at Table W5
I'll post a link to a floor map as soon as one becomes available, but you can and will find Kevin in New York this weekend. This one was a bit of a long-shot, but we got in under the bar. We'll have all the books, the prints, the cards, and the badges. Sorry, but per show rules, no Tshirts or knit Spink sales can occur at an AA booth--if you know you will want one, contact email@example.com to arrange a pre-buy for pick up at the show!
Kevin and Sarah will be rockin' out next to our Ensign Sue Co-creator, Canadian Clare Moseley. This will be our fifth year at SPX and it's a kaleidescope of Indie Inspiration every time! The show is expanding this year, doubling their floorplan and bringing in some really exciting guests. There SHOULD be a new book on the table by September of this year, so here's hoping you can be there for the big reveal!
Our home town show! This year, Kevin and Sarah will be taking a daring TWO TABLES in the artist alley! That should give us plenty of room for the prints, the cards, and the Kevin! Come get a commission, check out our newest books, and tell Kevin he needs a haircut--IN PERSON! :D
Clare Moseley convinced us to take the plunge--WE'RE GOING INTERNATIONAL!
HELLO CANADA! This will be our first Fan Expo and we couldn't be more excited. We'll have table space next to Clare at the show and oh boy are you guys in for a treat. We're bringing everything! The Spinks, the prints, the art cards, the books, THE KEVIN. Remember, though--Kevin only takes commissions at shows now--so come by first thing on Friday to reserve your spot on his commission list!
Kevin and Sarah LOVE Chicago and make it our #1 Priority to be there every year! We team up with our Ensign Sue Co-creator, Clare Moseley to set up a stellar display of all our hard work and shiney arts from the past year. Since we only get out to Illinois once a year, it's important that we show off our very best! We look forward to seeing old friends from the area and making new ones!
LOOK FOR US IN THE DEALERS' ROOM--BOOTH # Z-11!
This is the last show of the year where Kevin and I can try the dealers' room! Otakon rolls into town like a tidal wave of fandom, so hold onto your hats. Kevin and Sarah have been super-scheming, trying to think up ways we can fill an entire Dealers' Room booth, and we hope you'll be pleased with the results! Remember--Kevin only takes commissions at shows now--so if you want him to draw your heart's desire, come by early on Friday before the comission slots fill up!
Interrobang Studios regrets to report that due to a significant communication error with Connecticon, there is no space available for us at this show.
We apologize deeply to our Connecticut-based supporters; Kevin and I were equally surprised and saddened by this turn of events. Unfortunately, there is nothing that can be done at this point to rectify the situation.
We do have an guaranteed DEALER'S ROOM TABLE at Otakon. Look for us along the right-hand wall this July!
For Connecticut-based fans who are unable to travel as far as Baltimore, we do have an application in for NYCC/NYAnimeFest, if we are selected from the juried pool of applicants, perhaps we can see you there.
Again, we very sorry to have gotten your hopes up, and hope that at some point in the future, we will get a chance to meet you.
AnimeMidAtlantic! A special thank you to the staff at this show for being so very understanding last year when Kevin's back prevented us from attending. Our registration got rolled to 2012--and we're going to roll into this show with a ringing battlecry! Kevin's been working all year on new prints and cards, so expect plenty of exciting art debuts at this show!
We're rolling off to New Jersey that weekend, so look for oodles of our panels in the programming schedule! Kevin's been working on some brand new art that's sure to please and he will be available for commission. Remember to come by the booth early if you would like to arrange a commission that weekend, because once the list is full, Kevin will not be able to take any more. Hope we see you there, because it's going to be a blast!
This was another show that Kevin and Sarah had to miss last year thanks to Kevin's spinal injury. We were sad to skip it, but glad we're getting back in the swing! Looking forward to some amazing Philly Chinese food and con-night karaoke! Come on by if you're in the neighborhood!
Kevin and Sarah tried to attend this show last year, but we had to cancel because of Kevin's spinal injury. We're proud to announce that THIS year, we're going to try again! Kevin's back is on the mend and so this Memorial Day Weekend, we'll be hitting the road for the long drive south. North Carolina, here we come! Look for us in the Artist Alley. Sorry for the wait, Raleigh-fans!
T-MODE's the sweetest little Anime-Videogame Convention you've never met. And you really should meet. This year, they've got the voice actor for 'LIGHT' from the DEATHNOTE Anime, and DJ CUTMAN, one of the most amazing digital music artists on the East Coast. Kevin and Sarah love this show, because we always have such a laid back time--plenty of awesome folks to talk to and all the time in the world to do it! This is the best 'hang out and talk to Kevin' show on our schedule and the perfect one to attend if you like intimate panels. We'll be running a few panels this year and would love to see y'all there!
LOOK FOR US IN THE DEALERS' ROOM--BOOTH #444!
There are only a handful of shows where Kevin and I can take the leap to the dealers' room, and this is one of them! AnimeBoston is always an amazing event and this year's promising to be an all-time bell-ringer. Kevin and I have been stock-piling hand-crochet'd SPINKS, freshly-printed SUCKS TO BE WEEGIE books, and have polished up a inter-active third volume of I'M MY OWN MASCOT. We've gotta plan big, because we've gotta fill a space 10 feet by 8 feet. Remember--Kevin only takes commissions at shows now--so if you want him to draw your heart's desire, come by early on Friday before the comission slots fill up!
Kevin's a guest at Elizabethtown College!
The staff at JayCon extended Kevin a warm welcome for the last weekend in March. Kevin and Sarah will not only have a spot in the artist alley where you can see all of our fun books and art, but he'll also be running a number of panels as part of Jaycon's programming!
Please look for Kevin's newest book issue #3 of I'm My Own Mascot, premiering at this show!
This local show is held in conjunction with the Art Institute of Washington and full of budding talent and amazing workshops. It's run Friday & Saturday, so it's not your typical party-weekend show. However, if you've got any kind of interest in animation, character design, or illustration, this is an exceptionally informative and cozy show. Come get your learnings!
In studio news, Interrobang Studios proudly presents issue #1 of SUCKS TO BE WEEGIE complete with print-only content premiering at MAGFest!
He's done the tshirt designs, the website header, the mascot's costume design, the pin designs, and an exclusive only-find-it-there comic for the program book!
We're ridiculously happy to return to this show. There's awesome folks running it and awesome folks attending at it and the Hyatt is just so pretty and sparkly. This is a real winner of a feel-good con, and I'm stoked to finally be able to say more about it! :D
You know we follow the love. ;D
Giant, sprawling, 4-day convention full of every celebrity who ever blinked at a camera! These big-city cons make me feel like a country mouse gone to town, but they sure are fun. We went last year and got a booth next to Mr. Art Baltazar of DC's Tiny Titans fame! (AW YEAH!!) The car ride to Illinois is intense from Maryland, but for all the people we met, it was totally worth it. Will we see you?
